About Riverside Cottages
Riverside Cottages At the Shores is built in tranquil St. Augustine Shores, a well-established neighborhood in the southern section of Saint Johns County. Every detail of this five-acre campus is planned in great detail with the resident as the focus.
Our Story
Robert and Michele Carmines have nearly 70 years of combined experience in the healthcare field. Together, they bought the land for Riverside Cottages in 2006, hoping to establish an exceptional community for seniors.
They opened Grafton House, their first assisted living facility, in 1994. Since then, Robert and Michele have operated both the Grafton House and Riverside Cottages as small, family-owned businesses with the same commitment to quality care.
The vision for Riverside Cottages was to be an assisted living facility that breaks the stigma of a traditional “nursing home.” Our goal is to make each resident feel truly at home while they’re here. Your family becomes a part of our family, and we take special, personalized care of each individual.
A high staff-to-patient ratio and a true passion for what we do allow us to provide the best assisted living possible. Residents enjoy home cooked meals, on-site barber & beautician visits, live music, fun activities, and much more at Riverside Cottages.
